Pictured below are the twelve African Americans that were honored on Tuesday, 11/12/13, at the Alabama School of Fine Arts in the Dorothy Jemison Theater. The twelve African Americans (one for each month of the year in 2014) were Thom Gossom, Benjamin Sterling Turner, Ralph David Abernathy, Herschell Lee Hamilton, John L. LeFlore, Lawrence J.
