African American Calendar

The African American Calendar event took place on Thursday, 11/8/12, at the Alabama School of Fine Arts. Twelve renown African Americans representing the twelve months of the year in 2013were honored. These African Americans lived in the State of Alabama at sometime during their life. The honorees were Jesse Lewis, Sr., Rosa Parks, Nat King Cole, Cudjo Lewis, William Hooper Councill, Sonia Sanchez, Satchel Paige, Angelia Walker, 4 Girls-16th Street Baptist Church, Joseph Lowery, James Thomas Rapier and Lonnie Johnson. Our Mission
The James Lewis Tennis Scholarship Foundation was formed to provide scholarships to
junior tennis players; support educational and character development programs; and
support overall tennis play and tennis skills development.
