The George Ward Tennis Center is located at George Ward Park in Birmingham, AL. Our facility is equipped with eight (8) hard courts, a pro shop, and offers additional services such as racquet stringing.

Monday - Thursday: 4:00pm - 8:00pm
Friday: 1:00pm - 5:00pm
Saturday: 9:00pm - 5:00pm
Sunday: 2:00pm - 7:00pm

Our Programs:
Our facility offers Rallyball 10 and under, adult USTA leagues, and adult & junior lessons upon request. Click Here for additional information about our programs.

Benefits:
Our George Ward location is a first class environment in the ProShop and Courts. Our hours of operation are designed to accommodate the retired as well as the working adult. Adult lessons are at very reasonable costs and our Junior lessons for ages 5 through 18 years old are at discounted prices. Our Juniors also have a chance to participate in the USTA Junior Team Competition and the adults can participate in any of our USTA Leagues. All members have access to the ball machine with a $5 discount and are offered reasonable fees for holding events at the ProShop.

Directions to the Center:

Directions from downtown Birmingham: I-65 South to the Greensprings Avenue exit. Turn left on to Greensprings Avenue and then left on to Greensprings Highway and travel about 3 blocks. Turn right on to 16th Avenue South and then first right (between houses) and courts will be on your right about one block down.

Directions from Hoover: I-65 North to the Greensprings Avenue exit. Turn right on to Greensprings Avenue and then left on to Greensprings Highway and travel about 3 blocks. Turn right on to 16th Avenue South and then first right (between houses) and courts will be on your right about one block down.
